TRIP Notes

January 2006

Dear Friends,

Greetings, and a Happy New Year to each of you! It's hard to believe that the new year has started, but we're excited about the possibilities that the Lord has for us.

A week-and-a-half before Christmas we had the worst ice storm in Greenville history and were without power for five days. (Some were without power for even longer!) It was great to finally get lights and heat back in the house and made us thankful for the basic provisions of life that we take for granted.

TRAVEL

We had one of our best series of meetings this past fall. We left near the 1st of September and got back around Thanksgiving. We drove around 5,000 miles, and had almost 70 services in Indiana, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and North Carolina. We had the privilege of working with a number of wonderful evangelists and Bible Conference speakers and received a rich blessing from their ministry.

In February, we will be heading to Mexico again, our fourth year, and will be there for five weeks. We will meet other team members in McAllen, Texas, then begin our trek into Mexico. We anticipate traveling around 5,000 miles on this trip. The schedule is posted on our website.

SPECIAL NOTE: During our time in Mexico (February 1 - March 15), we will not be getting our email, nor will we have use of our cellphones. Please make a note of this and be patient until we get "reconnected" in March!

RIG

We've moved to 50% of our goal to purchase a new truck! We praise the Lord for His people sending in these funds!! We had to have more transmission work done on our truck, but it's still not working as it should. We continue to pray for the Lord's timing in leading us to another truck.

IN THE FAMILY

Glenn is always learning "new tricks" in repairing things on the trailer and truck. Several times the Lord had us at the "right place at the right time" to find parts that were out of stock. What a help to have a handyman!

Jan had several opportunities to ministry to ladies this fall and continues to be a blessing in this special ministry. She continues to juggle home and ministry opportunities in a wonderful way.

Greg turned 16 this fall! With the guitar he purchased last year, he's enjoyed lessons from Brian Pinner and help from others. He played the guitar and sang almost every week in our meetings and was a blessing to folks. He is currently in tenth grade.

PRAISE & PRAYER

*Praise the Lord for safety in the 5,000 miles we traveled this fall.

*Praise the Lord for HIS working in hearts and lives in almost 70 services.

*Praise the Lord for many opportunities to minister in 2006.

*Pray for safety in all our upcoming travels. . .starting with our trip to Mexico in February, then six weeks of meetings later this spring.

*Pray for wisdom and funding for another truck. . .a need that becomes more pressing each time we go on the road.

We are grateful for you, our friends, and for your prayers and support of this ministry. Please let us know if we can be of service to you in your church. We trust that God will richly bless you as you serve Him in 2006!

Yours in His service,

Glenn, Jan & Greg Christianson
